Paper Cutting by UV Laser for Paper Craft Making with Clear Paper Cut on Intricate Designs
We have been getting many questions about our UV Laser and if it can cut paper. In this video, we put the UV Laser to the test!
We start with a vector with some artwork, we chose the design of Stich as it has many intricate details. We then added this vector into our software. On the UV Laser bed, we place a piece of wood, to protect the table. We then place a piece of scrap paper on the wood to check the height of the laser is correct.
Since we are cutting paper, we adjust the parameters such as the speed, as the material is thin. We are now ready to do the test. The laser cuts out the design on our piece of paper with ease, with no issues. The vector that was cut can easily be removed. We then use the utensils toolkit to remove some of the finer details such as the eyes and teeth cutouts.
Next we try cutting out text on paper with the UV Laser. We need to adjust the parameters again for the job, mainly the speed. The UV Laser did an excellent job at cutting out the text, with no burning at all.
So there you have it, the UV laser did an excellent job at cutting out artwork and text on paper. Give sales a call should you need more information or to purchase a UV Laser.
